If you are going through a difficult time in your life and would like some objective, experienced and skilled support then I may be able to help you with my person-centred counselling service. I use both Counselling and Psychotherapy skills to help you explore emotions and events that are impacting your life. I am a qualified and experienced counsellor who uses an integrated approach which includes, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Humanistic and Person-Centred approaches, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness stress reduction. I merge these different schools of thought to provide the best tailored support that will help us work together to address your needs. I offer a face-to-face service in a GP Practice in Ayrshire and also online through a zoom call or phone call. I work with individuals on a one-to-one basis on a variety of issues including: relationship problems, bereavement, trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression and stress related issues. Self-harming, eating related issues, alcohol & substance issues and anger management. Iam suitably expereinced and qualified to work with you and have undertaken Counselling, Mindfulness and yoga qualifications. Iam a Registered Member of NCPS and a member of the PVG scheme.
Individuals choose to have therapy because they are experiencing difficulties and distress in their lives. Sometimes people can be isolated but even where an individual has the most supportive family and friends, they can find it difficult to talk about events that are difficult to deal with such as bereavement, divorce, redundancy, health issues, bullying and so on. Thus it may be easier to talk about these issues with a person who is independent and trained to help. However, you do not have to be in crisis or on the verge of one, before choosing to have therapy. You may be experiencing underlying feelings of dissatisfaction with life in general, or be seeking balance in your life.
Face-to-face sessions are limited to Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday
other sessions can also be offered through telephone, FaceTime, or Zoom calls.
I do not book anyone into a session without having an initial consultation, over the phone to establish what your situation is.
